I'm not looking forward to Carroll coming back
As he'll just walk straight back in the team and fuck up what is turning out to be a reasonable formation we have here.

Feel free to call me a cunt

Pissing and moaning that our best players are getting back to fitness?

A new low- even for WHO.

Re: I'm not looking forward to Carroll coming back
let's see if he can stay fit and healthy first.....but he can be a great additional option as long as he is not the excuse for returning to hoofball...

I loved his Air Shots last season... takes some real skill doing that....

For the first time since BFS joined us we are playing something that is remotely football based .... as soon as that Geordie plank comes back in the fold it's gonna be a whole world of boring old c*nt...

Re: I'm not looking forward to Carroll coming back
Always said he wasn't worth 17m but he gives us other options. What annoyed me was his dip in form end of last season. looked like he wasn't bothered. I think he will really want to prove something now. I think he's a good option to have and when you're 1-0 down and they have everyone behind the ball then sending in quality balls to him and Sarkho will scare the shit out of any defence

Carroll is ok, but not anywhere. Ear the level many think a miles away from what his price tag a wages suggest.

I'd be more than happy for him to never play for us again as I think he is very easily replaced

solidbond, yeah, you keep banging your retarded drum...

You're probably one of those spastics who thinks CARTHORSE and Carroll are the same kind of level...

Re: I'm not looking forward to Carroll coming back
It's fairly common for players from overseas to take a while to adapt to the Premier League. Look at Winston. He looked completely out of his depth at first and barely played the first season.

We're lucky that we had players like Sakho and Kouyate who've adapted so quickly, but that doesn't mean that every new player will.

To be honest, I'm surprised how well this bunch of relative strangers have been playing together.

I'm worried about Valencia, not convinced at all, really hope we haven't spunked 12 mil on him not long after spunking 17 mil on big Andy, we can't be throwing away 29 mil, know what I mean Harry?

But disagree with the OP here, I reckon Carroll and Sakho have the potential to forge a good partnership. Let's see.

Still think he's a waste of money. Not impressed with Valencia either but he should have time.

Good try.

Rogers explicitly stated that he was a asset or similar when we played them last season, pretty sure.. He had other assets (one of them world class) and was able to bring in some cash for Carroll.

Re: I'm not looking forward to Carroll coming back
Last season and at the very start of this season Carroll was absolutely everything to us. His injury hurt us big time but fortunately we've got more than able replacements in the squad now.

When we (eventually) have a fit Andy Carroll raring to go it will simply make us even stronger.

In short, this thread is fucking bollocks.

Re: I'm not looking forward to Carroll coming back
Carroll has scored some wonderful solo goals, he is clearly a high quality player.

The problem has been he's either not been fit our just been used as a battering ram. Hopefully that'll be different when he comes back.

Re: I'm not looking forward to Carroll coming back
one of the good things about today was seeing zarate starting ahead of nolan. i dont think carroll walks back into this team given how well sakho and valencia are working together.
